Tiger Woods Receives PRP Treatment
During one of Tiger Woods’recent press appearances he said that he had recently received PRP ,or Platelet-Rick Plasma, treatment;
PRP treatment has being more and more common in the sports medicine world in recent years. PRP treatment involves taken drawing the patient’s blood then and putting it in a centrifuge to separate out platelets containing plasma from the red blood cells. The plasma is then injected back into the patient’s body. PRP treatment is thought to accelerate and maximise the signals an injury site sends to the body in order to continue the healing process, therefore giving a healthy natural glow to the skin with with no need for foreign bodies to be injected into the body.
